Origin Story

Hello, KapitVAHay! Dave Soltura here, founder of Voice Actors at Home and Voice Actors at Home PH.

I became a full-time voice actor in 2016. Over time, I realized that voice acting could offer more than creative fulfillment. It could create freedom, flexibility, and the ability to be present when life matters most.

That truth became very real in September 2021, when my father, mother, brother, and brother-in-law all faced life-threatening cases of COVID-19.

Our family went through a heartbreaking season of hospital visits, oxygen shortages, financial pressure, fear, and exhaustion. But through the generosity of the voice over community, loved ones, friends, and even strangers, we were able to make it through those first overwhelming expenses. Then, a former client reached out with a voice over project that helped carry much of our personal expenses for the next few months.

In that moment, I saw even more clearly what this career could make possible. Voice acting gave me the chance to provide for my family while still being there for them.

So on September 30, 2021, while my family was still in the hospital, I founded Voice Actors at Home PH.

Today, our mission is simple: help more Filipinos build voice acting careers from home that create income, stability, and time for what matters most.

Are you one of them?
