Origin Story

Hi neighVOr! Dave Soltura here, founder of Voice Actors at Home and Voice Actors at Home PH.

In September of 2021, my father, mother, brother, and brother-in-law exhibited life-threatening cases of COVID 19. It was the beginning of an uphill climb for our family. We made frequent trips to the hospital, struggled to maintain a supply of oxygen, had seemingly unsolvable financial strain, and were just overall… afraid and exhausted. Every day was an emergency.

Thankfully, the generosity of the voice over community, loved ones, friends, and even strangers helped us overcome the first wave of medical expenses. Then, a past client reached out to me for a voice over project that covered most of our personal expenses for a few months. It dawned on me that being a voice actor afforded me the time to be there for my family. Being a voice actor wasn’t the solution to all of this, but it certainly helped.

Thanks to these experiences, on September 30, 2021, I founded Voice Actors at Home PH while my family was still in the hospital.

Since then, more than a dozen bright and passionate leaders have joined our team so that we can help home-based voice actors experience the benefits of community, financial security, and time.

We’re on an urgent mission to help 200 Filipinos earn full-time home voice acting incomes by 2023.

Are you one of them?
